God loves you so very much. He took great care when He made you. You are His masterpiece. You mean so much to Him. You are precious to Him and honored in His sight.
God is Absolutely Good. God wants a personal relationship with you. He wants to walk beside you and hold your hand during your healing journey. He did not "allow" this trauma to happen to you, He did not "control" it happening to you, He did not do it to you to teach you some lesson, and He did not plan for it to happen to you, so it could be used later to help other people. God did not do this awful thing to you. People did this awful thing to you.
God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit have been and will always be #1 for Lynne. They are her key to peace and joy within. Spend time with God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. Talk to Them. Ask Them what you need to know. Sort through the problems with Them. Get direction. Follow the direction.
If you do not know Jesus, He was born by a virgin named Mary. God is His Father. The conception was supernatural. Jesus lived on earth for 30 years. Then He chose to be tortured, take on each person's sin who ever lived and will live, and take their punishment Himself, by dieing on the cross. Then, He went to hell for three days. After that, He came back to life! And, He had the keys to hell, death, and the grave in His hand. He won! He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Simply believe this, ask Him into your heart, and ask Him to be the Lord of your life. Then you will receive Holy Spirit, too. They will tell you next steps, so you can now have life and life more abundantly.
Anyone connected to Kenneth Copeland Ministries or Steve Schultz' "Elijah Streams" on Rumble helped and continues to help Lynne.
Get out of unhealthy relationships, no matter who they are. Stay away from them. Set boundaries. Be very careful what you see and hear. Choose positive people, shows, podcasts, songs, etc.
.Attend support groups, such Celebrate Recovery, Al-Anon, Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, etc.
Get a therapist you can trust who is highly experienced in trauma. Lynne's therapist is a very Godly woman who is highly trained in, and a trainer for, EMDR. Lynne has found EMDR to be extremely helpful in processing out the trauma. To find an EMDR therapist in your area, go to EMDRIA.org. Make sure the person you select is Certified in EMDR. That is level 1. Level 2 is a Consultant, but the person does not have to be a Consultant to be skilled in EMDR. Review each person's background, and ask God which one is right for you.
Work hard at remembering. Otherwise, you will do all of these dysfunctional behaviors that you don't want to do, but you can't seem to stop. Once you remember, you will know why you do the things you do. Then, you will be able to look for tools to help you in that area.
Journal your memories. Journal when you are triggered to sort through what it is God is wanting you to remember and heal from. Writing activates the left side of the brain, which is the logical, analytical side versus the emotional side. Lynne only does this when with God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit in prayer and while reading her Bible.
Remember to practice self-care and nurture the child part of you who was so badly hurt. Color, cuddle stuffed animals, rock in a rocking chair, do crafts for that age, etc.
Read children's books written by child survivors. Read books written to children about how to live in general. Children's books really spoke to the child part of Lynne.
Try to stay present in your moments, and use grounding techniques.
What you believe determines what you think. What you think determines what you feel. What you feel determines what you do. Work hard on your belief system. Being grateful to God is a major key.
Look into alternative, noninvasive healing modalities and how to live a healthy lifestyle. Although not a comprehensive list, the following have helped Lynne: LifeWave, WavWatch, Earthing, Wholetones, teas, organic food, and exercise.
Get a pet. Lynne chose a cat - Gracie. Get a pet and feel the uncontional love.
